 Birgit Kuras - New Member of the Management Board of Wiener Borse AG

Birgit Kuras is the new Member of the Management Board of Wiener Börse AG. This announcement was made by the Supervisory Board after it reached its unanimous decision at today’s extraordinary meeting. Birgit Kuras and Michael Buhl will jointly run the business of Wiener Börse AG starting as of 1 March 2012. Birgit Kuras succeeds Heinrich Schaller who has switched to the position of CEO of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich.
Birgit Kuras currently heads the two business areas CEE Equity Capital Markets and M&A Austria at Raiffeisen Centro Bank AG. As a well-known industry expert, she has also been on the Management Board of the Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management (ÖVFA, Österreichische Vereinigung für Finanzanalyse und Anlageberatung) since 1987.
“The Vienna Stock Exchange has to prove its resilience in the currently volatile market. I am convinced that with Birgit Kuras and Michael Buhl we have a strong team that will advance the development of the Austrian capital market also in these difficult times,” stressed Friedrich Kadrnoska, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wiener Börse AG.
