Cosmote launches the million euro contest: Trimiti, descarci si castigi

COSMOTE Romania launched the wallpaper based contest “Trimiti, descarci si castigi!”, as part of the operator’s entertaining content services strategy. Thus, the customers who purchase a wallpaper by sending SMS`s to a special short number, are automatically enrolled in the contest for daily, weekly and special prizes, but also for a final one – the Big Prize. The total value of the prizes is approximately 1 million euro.
The contest lasts for 81 days, starting April 26th and ending on July 15th inclusively and is open to all COSMOTE residential customers, both post-paid and prepaid.
The mechanism is very simple: users should send a blank text to 1010, download one of the 3,000 wallpapers available through My Wallpaper service and thus enter automatically in the race for winning the prize of the respective day: up to 10,000 euro daily (from Monday to Saturday inclusively), up to 20,000 euro every Sunday and one of the 24 special prizes. Moreover, each SMS sent to 1010, brings the chance to win the Big Prize - a BMW 320i Coupe!
Each text message sent to 1010 number is worth 1 credit that customers can use for downloading a wallpaper from http://mywallpaper.cosmote.ro. Customers can either download the wallpaper on their mobile phone, but also send it to a friend within COSMOTE network.
In any day of the contest, every user who sends at least one SMS to 1010 to acquire a wallpaper gets one chance in the daily draw. The more SMSs sent, the bigger the value of the prize is.
If a customer who acquires 1 wallpaper is declared winner, the prize that can be won worth’s 500 euro. The more wallpapers a user buys, the bigger the prize is (it can increase up to 10.000 euro per day Monday - Saturday, respectively, 20,000 euro on Sundays - for example: for 7 SMSs sent, one chance to win while the value of the cash prize per day will be 3,500 euro).
Moreover, in certain 24 days, 24 supplementary draws will award special extra-prizes to a second winner in that day. These prizes consist of 24 special gadgets, such as Sony Ericsson Satio, Nokia C7, Samsung i9000 Galaxy S and HP Mini 210 offered together with internet prepaid packages with modem and SIM card 3G included.
In addition, each sent text message brings each customer 10 points, which are taken into account for winning the Big Prize - a BMW 320i Coupe. Therefore, the more the number of SMSs sent, the more number of points and bigger the chances to win the final prize.
The value of one SMS to the contest is 0,99 euro (VAT included).
