The summer months at 5-star Delta Nature Resort see the lake canals filled with colonies of pelicans and aigrettes that tourists and birdwatchers alike can enjoy to view during special boat trips.
Regular visitors of the lake Somova area, the pelicans and aigrettes came to the canals near the resort from the middle of the month of May for the nesting period and are here to stay for the duration of the summer, for the enjoyment of nature passionates that will now have the opportunity to watch them fly over the waters of the lake or to enjoy their fishing rituals.
“In this period of the year, pelicans and aigrettes are among the main stars of the Delta Nature Resort experience, as many of our guests enjoy watching them fly and fish and as such many of our reservations for this period are also made for this reason. Each year, the colonies come back to the canals of lake Somova and their flight can be enjoyed almost daily even from the restaurant terrace or the porch of the individual villas” stated Marilena Apolon, Sales Manager Delta Nature Resort
The resort, located 15 km from Tulcea, on the banks of Lake Somova, offers tourists a special summer rate valid until the end of July2012: 35 euro per night per person, including breakfast (during weekdays – Sunday to Thursday, VAT included) for accommodation in a Deluxe Villa twin share - a fantastic value for a 5 star resort.
